K-pop idols keep expanding their reach across music, acting, and high fashion these days.
On October 7, BLACKPINK’s Kim Jisoo posted fresh Instagram updates from her ongoing Self-Portrait collaboration. The images capture behind-the-scenes moments with creative director Han Chong and photographer Oliver Hadlee Pearch.
The posts spotlight looks from the Portraits of a Screen Star campaign. One features a patterned vest with floral details. Another shows a pink satin slip dress paired with a blonde wig. A third pairs a lime-green mini skirt with a pink bob wig. All were filmed in Seoul as part of the Fall-Winter series.
The campaign casts Jisoo as four distinct cinematic characters styled like imagined audition tapes. They include The Enigma, The Muse, The Ingénue and The Optimist. Each role draws on different wardrobe pieces from the collection to shape personality and performance.
Jisoo has fronted Self-Portrait since 2024, becoming the brand’s first musician face. She has long worn the London label on and off stage. This latest project leans into her acting side while promoting the clothes.
In a statement, she said, “I was so excited to star in this new series of short films with Han and self-portrait.
It allowed me to try something completely new, and each character I played required something different from me.” She added that the wardrobe changes helped her find nuance in every role: “I have worn self-portrait for many years and the pieces make me feel like I can do anything — this time, they let me dream that I could be anyone.”
Chong noted the multi-faceted quality she brings. “We always talk about the Self-Portrait woman as being multifaceted, and JISOO really brings that to life through her performance in these short films.”
Dior Beauty, where Jisoo serves as a longtime ambassador, also highlighted her glowing makeup looks from related work using their Icy Rosy palette. Fans quickly shared the new images across platforms. They celebrated how she moves easily between music releases, screen roles and fashion campaigns.
The BTS drop arrives after the full series rolled out in September. It offers a casual window into the creative process on set. Jisoo continues building her solo path with recent singles and acting projects while maintaining these brand ties.
The partnership shows no signs of slowing as both sides explore new visual stories.
