Global streaming charts rarely hand over the top slots so completely to one new voice. Adéla Jergová just made it happen.
The Slovak singer Nicole Kidman climbed to No. 2 on Spotify’s daily global chart with 3.59 million streams. Ain’t In LA followed right behind at No. 3 with 3.48 million. It marks the first time she has placed two tracks inside the global top three at once. Both come from her debut album PRIMA, released September 4.
Jergová built this moment step by step. Born in Bratislava, she trained as a ballerina from age three. She later moved to Los Angeles and competed on the 2023 series Dream Academy. Early elimination from the show that formed Katseye became fuel rather than a setback. She signed with Capitol Records, dropped the 2025 EP The Provocateur, and kept writing sharp, hook-driven pop that mixes personal stories with big energy.
Ain’t In LA already made history as the first song by a Slovak artist to enter the Billboard Hot 100. It later reached the top 40. Nicole Kidman joined it on the chart after the album arrived. PRIMA itself debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 56,000 equivalent units and topped the Top Album Sales chart.
The songs carry clear personal roots. Jergová has explained the spark for Nicole Kidman came after a Golden Globes afterparty. “I’ve never been in a movie, but I got all glammed up, and my corset was so tight that I thought, ‘I feel like Nicole Kidman right now,’” she told W Magazine. The track nods to the actress’s film roles and that sudden rush of glamour.
Ain’t In LA draws from family history. A photo of her mother as a teenager standing before smuggled Western pop posters inspired the lyrics. Her grandfather brought those posters across the border during the communist era. “I wrote this for her and the billion other bitches who are probably cooler than me,” Jergová said. The song pushes back against the idea that dreams only count if they happen in Los Angeles.
Nicole Kidman herself noticed. At a film premiere she confirmed she knew the singer and planned to catch a Nashville date on the current tour. The actress then used Ain’t In LA as the soundtrack for her own TikTok debut.
Jergová is already on the road with the Red Bottoms Tour. It opened in London in late August and runs through North American clubs and theaters before heading to Europe in early 2027. Sold-out dates and strong streaming numbers have turned the run into a victory lap for the album cycle.
Her monthly Spotify listeners now sit above 20 million. The twin chart attack shows how quickly the audience has grown. Catchy production from collaborators including Blake Slatkin and Dylan Brady helps, but the direct storytelling seems to land hardest.
What comes next looks straightforward. More tour dates. Likely radio gains. And a growing sense that this Bratislava-raised artist has locked in a real global lane. For a former ballerina who once got voted off a reality show, the top of the Spotify chart feels like the right stage.
