An installation artwork filling a large, minimalist gallery space with white walls and a polished concrete floor features a monumental, translucent architectural structure resembling a house made entirely of dense, fine black mesh or wire. The structure is shaped like a classic gabled-roof home or a series of interconnected domestic buildings that stretch dynamically across the room. Because it is fabricated from millions of overlapping, woven, or layered black threads, the sculpture possesses a haunting, ghostly, and atmospheric quality, appearing as a solid form from certain angles while dissolving into a smoky, dark gradient from others. The density of the mesh is thickest near the base, creating a heavy shadow on the floor, while the upper peaks of the roofline slightly catch the ambient glow from the recessed ceiling spotlights, giving the entire form an ethereal, floating appearance. The meticulous craftsmanship creates a stark contrast between the rigid, geometric lines of the architectural blueprint and the soft, organic texture of the fibrous material, evoke themes of memory, displacement, and the fragile nature of home.
