Thai Stars Push Schiaparelli to New Heights at Paris Fashion Week

Namping and Keng deliver major earned media value as Thai talent dominates the season’s social rankings

A wide-angle, studio-lit composite photograph captures a stylish group of ten young Asian celebrities posed closely together against a clean, minimalist light gray background. On the far left, a woman in a low-cut black velvet dress sits looking sideways while holding a houndstooth patterned handbag. Behind her stands a young man with dark, parted hair wearing a loose blue shirt and a beaded necklace. To their right, a woman in an elegant white button-up shirt and long skirt stands holding a small light-blue handbag and a bouquet of yellow flowers. In the upper-center, a young man with glasses and a brown jacket smiles warmly alongside a man in a navy blue blazer and thick-rimmed glasses. In front of them stands a young woman sporting a braided hairstyle, a navy blue cardigan over a light-blue button-down shirt, a pleated gray skirt, and holding a small dark brown pouch. To the right, a man in a black long-sleeve shirt looks toward a woman with long, layered brown hair who is dressed in a white sleeveless top with a lace overlays. Behind her, a young man in a pastel pink blazer holds up a soft pink flower, while on the far right, a striking individual with long blonde hair and an all-black suit completes the modern, fashionable ensemble.

Paris Fashion Week keeps rewriting the rules of who drives the conversation. Luxury houses now chase highly engaged fan bases from Asia more than traditional Western celebrity power.

That shift showed clearly this season. Thai actors Napatsakorn “Namping” Pingmuang and Harit “Keng” Buayoi helped propel Schiaparelli into the top five brands for the first time. Their coordinated appearance at the house’s Spring/Summer 2027 show on October 1 generated substantial earned media value. Pingmuang alone delivered $24 million in EMV. Buayoi added $14 million.

The pair’s impact fueled a 343 percent year-over-year surge for the brand. Schiaparelli reached $63 million in total EMV, second only to Dior’s $360 million haul. Overall, the week shattered records with $795.6 million in total EMV, a 59 percent jump from the prior year.

Thai actors Keng Harit (Harit Buayoi) and Namping Napatsakorn (Napatsakorn Pingmuang) deliver a masterclass in contrasting monochrome elegance as they arrive at the Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2027 show during Paris Fashion Week. On the left, Keng commands attention in an avant-garde all-black ensemble, layering a structured satin double-breasted Manhattan jacket over a signature mock-neck top that features a distinctive, open keyhole cutout right at the center of the chest. His fluid, high-waisted wide-leg trousers puddle effortlessly over dark boots, creating a continuous, architectural silhouette balanced by a matching leather clutch tucked under his arm. On the right, Namping balances the duo's aesthetic in a luminous, completely ivory-white uniform. He pairs an unbuttoned, relaxed-fit blazer with a finely ribbed knit cardigan cardigan adorned with Schiaparelli's iconic golden sculptural hardware buttons. His crisp, high-waisted white trousers break perfectly over unique golden-toe sneakers, and he completes the ensemble with a crescent-shaped black shoulder bag featuring a heavy gold anatomical clasp. Together, the pair frames the historic European architecture behind them, perfectly capturing Daniel Roseberry's blending of classic tailoring and surrealist luxury.

Pingmuang and Buayoi, known professionally as KengNamping, built their profiles under Domundi TV. They first paired through the reality series DMD Friendship. Their chemistry led to leading roles in the supernatural BL drama Khemjira. That series turned them into major stars across Asia and beyond. Fans followed every front-row moment with intense loyalty.

Creative director Daniel Roseberry presented the collection titled Going Clear at the Carrousel du Louvre. The show stripped back some of the house’s usual theatrical excess. It focused on modular separates in a restrained palette of Schiap black, bone, and butter. Archive codes returned through embroidered details and sculptural jackets. The duo sat front row in tailored looks that played yin and yang, one lighter and one sharper.

Thai talent owned the influencer rankings this season. Orm Kornnaphat led with $112 million in EMV. Lingling Kwong followed at $89 million. Both drove much of Dior’s dominance through repeated posts and high engagement rates. Other Thai names filled the top spots. Fandom volume proved decisive. Stars often posted 20 to 30 times around the shows, turning every arrival into content gold.

This pattern is no longer new. Thai and broader APAC celebrities have steadily claimed larger shares of fashion week media value in recent seasons. Brands respond by inviting them early and often. The result is global reach that traditional Western A-listers sometimes struggle to match on pure engagement.

Pingmuang and Buayoi’s Schiaparelli moment fits a larger industry move. Houses seek authentic cultural connections and dedicated audiences rather than pure fame. Their coordinated styling and post-show presence extended the conversation for days. Fan accounts and Thai media outlets amplified every detail.

What comes next looks clear. Expect more Thai drama stars on major front rows. Partnerships will deepen as houses chase that reliable EMV lift. For Schiaparelli, the jump into the top tier signals successful expansion of its audience. Roseberry’s clearer, more wearable direction may also help convert social buzz into actual sales.

The numbers already speak. Thai actors no longer just attend. They move the needle.
