Stray Kids just wrapped the biggest touring weekend of their career, and the afterglow hasn't even faded yet.

Stray Kids just wrapped the biggest touring weekend of their career, and the afterglow hadn't even settled before another headline landed.
On September 1, Felix released his solo single Slow It Down at 6 p.m. KST. The track arrived as the second installment of Stray Kids' self-produced SKZ-PLAYER series, an initiative where members write, compose, and shoot their own material outside the group's main promotional cycle.
Han opened this year's run of the project in June with his own track, back to life. Felix follows as the second member to step forward in 2026, and the timing could not have been more charged.
Slow It Down blends a simple guitar loop with a laid-back hip-hop beat. The music video pairs the sound with actress Roh Yoon-seo playing a woman chasing dreams amid daily pressures. Roh, known for her role in the Netflix series The Great Flood, plays a young woman navigating ambition and self-doubt, with Felix cast as a quiet source of encouragement in her story.
Felix did not just front the track. Felix and Andrew Choi worked on the lyrics, while Felix, Choi, Tido, Tomi Saario, and Vilma Lähteenmäki handled composition. Arrangement duties went to Tido, Saario, and Lähteenmäki. It is a genuine writing credit, not a vanity feature, and that distinction matters for an idol whose creative input often gets flattened in coverage.
Thematically, the song stays close to its title. It carries a message about pausing for a moment in a fast-paced world to look back on the precious memories and dreams shared with loved ones. No grand statement. Just a quiet request to breathe.
The release rides a wave that started days earlier. Stray Kids spent August 29 and 30 performing two sold-out shows at Tokyo's National Stadium, also called MUFG Stadium. The group drew a total of 140,000 spectators, marking the first time a foreign male artist has performed there. Add the paid livestream audience, and a cumulative total of 175,000 people enjoyed the energy together.
That number is staggering. So is the record itself.
The stadium run opened the Japanese leg of the group's RUN IT world tour, following five sold-out shows at Seoul's KSPO Dome in July. It continues through additional dome stops in Nagoya, Osaka, and Fukuoka before the group heads to Brazil for Rock in Rio and a run of STRAYCITY festival dates across Latin America.
Not everything about the Tokyo weekend was celebratory. On August 31, group leader Bang Chan addressed an incident from the group's return through Gimpo International Airport. Writing on the fan platform Bubble, Chan called out whoever had targeted Felix's belongings. "There was someone who kicked Felix's suitcase when we were leaving the airport earlier," he wrote, adding, "It probably wasn't STAY, so what on earth are you doing shoving a phone in someone's face and causing harm to other airport patrons?" He closed with a blunt warning. "People will get hurt."
The moment spread fast among fans already riding high off the Tokyo shows, a reminder that the same visibility fueling Stray Kids' global run also invites its ugliest edges.
Still, the momentum keeps building. Stray Kids' mini-album THIS & THAT already set a 21st-century record for most number-one albums on the Billboard 200 by any group.
Felix's Slow It Down now adds a personal footnote to that run, distributed across Melon, Spotify, Genie, and YouTube Music. With SKZ-PLAYER only two members deep, STAY already has one obvious question. Who steps up next?
