Zendaya and Tom Holland stepped out together on the red carpet for a "Spider-Man: Brand New Day" photocall, marking their first joint red carpet appearance in four years. The event took place Monday, June 15 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Madrid, drawing significant attention from national and international media.
Three months after the couple was reported to have gotten married by Zendaya's longtime stylist Law Roach, they stepped out to promote the film in Spain. Holland paid homage to his superhero counterpart with a red shirt and an all-black ensemble, while Zendaya wore her new bob hairdo slicked back and paired with a black mini-dress complete with a sweetheart neckline and a tasseled skirt reminiscent of webs.
The notoriously private couple gave a rare glance into their romance, sharing sweet moments during the photo op, including holding hands at a distance on the carpet and goofing off with each other before reaching the step and repeat.
Their last joint red carpet appearance was at the world premiere of "Spider-Man: No Way Home" in December 2021. Holland has previously explained the pattern of solo appearances. He told Men's Health, "Because it's not my moment, it's her moment, and if we go together, it's about us."
The Madrid moment quickly circulated across social media, racking up hundreds of thousands of views within hours as fans celebrated the official start of the promotional cycle. Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, and franchise newcomer Sadie Sink had already posed together in a group photo ahead of the global tour.
In April, Zendaya explained to The New York Times why she didn't want to confirm marriage rumors, saying they want to "preserve things for ourselves so that we can maintain that joy just within ourselves and our loved ones and our family."
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and continues the story of Peter Parker following the events of "Spider-Man: No Way Home." Holland teased the film at CinemaCon, saying, "I know we left you with a massive cliffhanger at the end of No Way Home, so Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a fresh start. It is exactly that. That's all I can say."
The film is set to release in theaters on July 31, 2026. Zendaya and Holland are also set to share the screen in Christopher Nolan's "The Odyssey," arriving July 17, 2026.
