Music and gaming crossovers keep picking up speed this year.
BLACKPINK member Lalisa Manobal, known as LISA, just pushed hers further with a new PlayStation drop.
PlayStation released a 52-second promotional video on October 20. It features LISA and a longer preview of Tarantino from her EP Press Play. The project lands October 23 via Lloud and RCA Records. She shared the clip on Instagram with the caption “Level up with LISA x @PlayStation.”
The track pays clear homage to director Quentin Tarantino. A short snippet already circulating includes the lines “Got my nails really long like the barrel of my gun and my lipstick all over your face” and “It’s a movie, baby, come and press play.” Earlier teasers even nodded to the iconic Kill Bill whistle. Tarantino serves as the second single after SaWaDiKa, which arrived in early September and debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Press Play runs about 16 minutes across six tracks. The full list includes SaWaDiKa, V12, Cobra, Tarantino, Cut U Off, and Sweat. LISA has described the set as personal, drawing on her Thai roots and framing the songs like scenes in a film. It follows her 2025 solo album Alter Ego, which peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. Her documentary Always Lalisa also hit theaters recently after its Toronto premiere.
This PlayStation move builds directly on her earlier PS5 campaign work.
The limited-edition Chroma Pearl DualSense wireless controller she designed launches October 30 for $84.99. It carries her bangs and eyes on the touch pad, plus stars and bold “LL” lettering. Quantities stay highly limited through PlayStation Direct and select retailers. Matching merch—apparel, bags, and accessories—rolls out in stages, with some pieces hitting her Amazon store around the EP date.
LISA spoke about the partnership in official materials. “Gaming is something I do whenever I have time to relax, so getting to create this collection with PlayStation was very exciting,” she said.
“I had a lot of fun adding in little details that I knew my fans would notice, and I wanted the fans to have something they can connect with. I’ve always loved expressing myself through music and fashion, so this collaboration gave me a new way to be creative and show a different side of myself.”
U.S. fan groups have rallied hard behind the release. They organize streaming teams and collect donations specifically for Billboard promotion pushes. Pre-save numbers for Press Play already sit among the highest for a K-pop solo project. The energy feels familiar for her dedicated base.
The timing slots neatly into a packed stretch.
After a VMA win for best pop, LISA heads into an expanded Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace starting mid-November. Extra dates were added due to demand. The music-gaming link gives her another lane just as the EP arrives. Fans will press play soon enough.
The controller and merch give them something physical to hold onto while they wait for the full set.
