In this promotional still from the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, actor Daniel Dae Kim perfectly embodies the tyrannical and ruthlessly driven ruler of the Fire Nation, Fire Lord Ozai. Clad in his highly detailed, regal crimson-and-black imperial robes accented with ornate gold trim, Ozai strikes an aggressive, commanding firebending stance with an outstretched open palm. His long black hair is partially pulled back into a traditional topknot secured by a sharp, flame-styled gold hairpiece, complementing his distinctive long, sharp goatee. The intense, calculating glare across his face highlights his absolute desire for total world conquest, captured in a dimly lit, traditional East Asian architectural courtyard that echoes the oppressive, industrial aesthetic of the Fire Nation Palace.
