David Hockney (1937-2026) was an English painter and one of the most influential British artists of the 20th and 21st centuries. Born in Bradford, he became a leading figure in British Pop Art, gaining prominence in the 1960s with works like A Bigger Splash (1967). He later moved to the United States and became known for his iPad drawings and large-scale landscapes.
